Special events and services

Abundant Life Children Youth Center, 103 Buckingham, Brunswick, will host youth services at 11 a.m. on Sunday. There is a service on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. Reverend Andrew Quirous will lead the worship service. Everyone is welcome.

Advent Christian Church, 1812 Ellis St., Brunswick, resumed worship in person. It will take place on Sunday at 10:30 am in the village hall.

Carteret Road Church of Christ, 192 Carteret Road, Brunswick, will host a Bible study at 10 a.m., followed by a worship service at 11 a.m. Social distancing will be required. There will be a Bible study on Wednesday at 6 p.m. starting with Proverbs. There will be a ladies’ Bible study class at 2:00 p.m. every second and fourth Tuesday of the month.

Emanuel United Methodist Church, 245 Ratcliffe Road, Brunswick, will be holding a French fries and cake auction from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. Meals for adults are $ 8 and children under 12 are $ 4. The cake auction starts at 2 p.m. at the church.

La Fête pour Haïti, organized by Helping Hugs for Haiti, will continue to organize an auction for its mission. Items include golf packages, vacation experiences, restaurant gift certificates and more. To view the auction visit helphugsinc.org/auction.

Fort Frederica Presbyterian Church, 6550 Frederica Road, St. Simons Island, resumed regular Sunday morning worship at 11 a.m. inside the shrine. Social distancing will continue. First United Methodist Church, 1400 Norwich St., Brunswick, resumed in-person worship services at 8:30 am and 10:30 am with Sunday School and Coffee / Danish Fellowship at 9:30 am Tab Miller will also be offering a class trip, “What’s the big idea ”, based on major theological themes of the Bible. The class will be offered on Wednesday at 10 a.m. and the following dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The church also offers a choir practice at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Golden Isles Christian Church, 1940 Old Jesup Road, Brunswick, will hold a fellowship at 9:30 a.m. and a Bible study at 10 a.m. on Sunday, followed by a worship service at 11 a.m. There will also be a worship service on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. On Wednesday there will be a prayer meeting at 6 p.m. and a Bible study. Reverend Bob Bole is the Church Evangelist.

Southside Baptist Church, 533 Newcastle Street, Brunswick, will be hosting a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. today. Proceeds will go to Danny Lane’s eye surgery.

St. Paul Baptist Missionary Church, 1929 Albany Street, Brunswick, will host services at 11:00 am Sunday. The pastor is Reverend Bobby Thompson. Everyone is welcome.

St. William Catholic Church, 2300 Frederica Road, St. Simons Island, has mass daily at 8:15 am Monday through Saturday. There is a vigil at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mass is at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. From September to May, the church offers Sunday School for Kindergarten to Grade 12, Bible Studies, Women’s Groups, Catholic Returning Classes, RCIA, for those who want to learn more about the Catholic Church and join it, as well as many other social and learning groups and activities.
